Ahye and Richards Advance To World Indoor Semis

National sprinter Michelle-Lee Ahye has booked her spot in this afternoon’s World Indoor 60m semi-finals after a second place finish in Heat 2, moments ago.
Running out in Belgrade, Serbia, the top three qualifiers automatically advance to the semis and the national record holder seemed pretty comfortable in her heat, racing to a time of 7.23 seconds.
Jereem Richards, running in the men’s 400m at the 2022 World Indoor Athletics Championship, has also advanced to the men’s 400m semi-finals after winning his heat in a time of 46.69 seconds, moments ago.
Richards pulled off a good run and did well to keep his nerves and composure after he was clipped by one of his opponents just over midway through the raced. Richards continues to dedicate his track success and otherwise, to the Late Deon Lendore who passed away on January 10th in a vehicular accident.
For Ahye, the semis will be begin at 1:10pm TT time On Friday afternoon while Richards will take the track at 2:10pm TT time.
