Julien one win away from Champions League Group Stage

Keston Julien and FC Sheriff have earlier today stunned Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League playoffs after defeating them 3-0 in the first of a two-legged tie. Dinamo, who knocked out Tottenham Spurs from last season’s Europa League, had no response for the three goals delivered by Sheriff.

Julien had a solid game - despite being subbed off in the second half for what seemed to be a discomfort in his hamstring- in his usual left back position as he continues to help his team qualify for the Group Stage of Champions League, for the first time ever in their existence.

The second leg will be played next week and it looks very likely that we’ll be seeing a Trinbagonian in the Champions League this season.
