Richards leads T&T Into Upcoming World Indoor Championships

Sprinter Jereem Richards is among four athletes who would be taking part in the upcoming IAAF World Athletics Indoor Championships in Belgrade Serbia. Richards will be representing in the men’s 400m while fellow sprinter Michelle-Lee Ahye will contest for women’s 60m title. Recently crowned national Junior Athletic Association 60m champion Jerod Elcock would represent Trinidad and Tobago in the men’s 60m while hurdler Ruebin Walters round off the athletes in the men’s 60m hurdles.
The team would be accompanied by Dexter Voisin, Jehue Gordon and Nicole Fuentes who will act the Manager/Coach, hurdles coach and massage therapist, respectively.
A notable absentee from the squad is the late Deon Lendore, who had already qualified for the Championships. The Championship begins on March 18 and ends on March 20. Team Trinidad and Tobago leaves for Serbia on March 15th and is scheduled to return on March 21.
