T&T Bobsleigh In Good Standings For Olympic Qualification

Trinidad and Tobago is currently ranked 31st in the world in bobsleigh after a nineteen-year hiatus from the sport. This comes in light of the recent revival of the sport ahead of the upcoming Winter Olympic Games. As it currently stands, they’re also in good contention for an Olympic spot as they are currently ranked 15th, with a total of nineteen spots available for qualification to the Games.
On Saturday, the pair of Axel Brown and Thomas Harris competed in the 2-man bobsleigh at the North American Cup Bobsleigh Park City in which they finished sixth out of seventeen competitors. Today, they raced in the four-man bobsleigh but that format of competition is only used as preparation and ‘fun’ since the key focus is on the two-man bobsleigh. Next weekend, the group will be in action once more on December 5th at Lake Placid in New York.
