T&T Junior Women Lose PanAm Opener

USA has defeated Trinidad and Tobago junior women’s hockey team 15-0 in the 2021 Junior Pan American Hockey Championships in Santiago, Chile earlier today. At the end of the first half, the scoreline read 7-0 in favour of the Americans while at the end of full-time it improved to 15-0. This was T&T's first game of the tournament.

T&T is pooled in Group B with USA and Chile and plays it’s second group game tomorrow against Chile. The top two teams in each group advances to the semi-finals while the third placed team battle for the fifth place. The men’s team will also be in action tomorrow in Group A against USA and Argentina on Wednesday and the same rule applies as the women in terms of advancing


The women's team is as follows: Jamie James (GK), Chelsea DEY, Tahirah Wynne, Felicia King(C), Shaniah de Freitas (C), Naom Sampson, Aaliyah O'Neil, Mia Otero, Saarah Olton, Nicole Whiteman, Shania Ghajadar, T'Shana Chance, Rebekah Ngui, Samantha Olton, Kaitlyn Olton, Shaniqua Paul, Talia Seale(GK) and Adrianna Camps.

The Staff comprises Kimberley Wellington, Team Manager, Dwain Quan Chan - Head Coach, Akim Toussaint - Assistant Coach, Khalil Latiff - Medical Doctor, Nadine Sammy - Psychologist and video technician Jeshjah Drayton.
