T&T Women’s Hockey Qualifies for 2022 PanAm Cup

Trinidad and Tobago women’s hockey team has qualified for the 2022 Pan Am Cup! Playing in the PanAm Challenge, the hockey women’s team finished second on the four-team table (Peru, Paraguay and Brazil) and faced third placed Paraguay in the semi-finals on Friday afternoon. In the 37th minute, Shaniah De Freitas gave T&T the lead but 9 minutes before the end of regular time, Paraguay equalized. The game had to be decided via a shootout and T&T took the victory via a 4-3 result.

They have advanced to the final tomorrow afternoon at 4pm against the hosts Peru. Both finalists advance to the 2022 PanAm Cup.
