Thomas and Wilkins Top National Ranking Tournament

After quite a while out of action due to the infamous Covid-19 Pandemic, Trinidad and Tobago Archery Federation (TTAF) held its first National Ranking Tournament today at Savannah Drive in Charlieville. Several archers turned out to the event which was also a preparation meet and means of qualification for the upcoming CAC Games in September.

In the men’s recurve, Dean Wilkins won both halves with 282 and 276 points respectively. Coming in a very close second was Daniel Cataria-Ragbir with a total of 555 points, just three points shy of Wilkins’ 558. Kevin Jackie was third with 493 points. In the U-21 recurve men, Darnell Garcia took top spot with 460 points while Matthew Sonnilal and Rudra Ramlakhan finished second and third respectively with 419 and 403 points.

In the compound men, Jonathan Thomas was on his own at the top with 645 points while Hasmath Ali was second with 612 and Robert Gibson was third with 605points. Joanne Yates won the women’s compound with 603 points.
