Trinidad and Tobago women draw with Panama
Trinidad and Tobago Senior Women’s team end the second of two international friendlies against Panama unbeaten.

After a much improved showing at the Ato Boldon earlier today, Trinidad and Tobago women footballers were unfortunate to not come away with the win, seeing the game end in a 1-1 draw.
Kennya ‘Yaya’ Cordner gave T&T the lead in the 7th and is the only T&T player to find the back of the net over the two matches. Trinidad and Tobago enjoyed decent spells of possession but couldn’t reap the ultimate reward for it. It was now Panama’s turn as they were gifted a penalty nearing the end of the first half. With a great chance to equalize, goalkeeper Kimika Forbes continued her outstanding shot-blocking form to deny the Panamanian from the spot and keep T&T ahead.
Defender Rhea Belgrave and Midfielder Chelcy Ralph had excellent games and led from the back, which was crucial in keeping Panama tamed for most of the game. Just as it seemed Cordner’s goal was going to give Kenwyne Jones his first win as head coach, Panama equalized. In the final kick of the game though, substitute and forward Laurelle Theodore had a great opportunity to give T&T the win but watched her shot skid wide of the upright.
